Ronald Austin Clark MSW, ACSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Ronald Clark came to the counseling and consultation field after a 23 year career as a Marine Corps Officer. During his military service he became a Chinese Linguist. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Ron Clark trained as a family therapist and quickly became one of the innovators and early trainers in the field of family therapy. He has been a counselor for many years . During that time he was able to train, work and consult with many of the pioneers in the field of family therapy. Early in his counseling career he became a noted an sought out speaker and workshop presenter. He held a faculty position at Catholic University in Washington D.C. and was the Clinical Director and Instructor of a teaching clinic for graduate social work students specializing in family mental health. In addition to the above stated work he has worked in community mental health. During that time he developed and established the forensic unit for Loudoun County Mental Health. He worked with the local Sheriff and Police Departments in developing trainings and communication programs. Over the last 30 years Mr. Clark has operated in a private counseling practice as a family therapist and relationship specialist. Currently Ron serves on the Board of Directors, for Imago Relationships International, including participation as treasurer, and serving on many committees within the organization.

In addition to the practice of family and relationship counseling Mr. Clark developed and operates a successful business. He is the CEO of Clark Distributors Invisible Fence Company. He shepherded this product from modest beginnings over 20 years ago to its current multileveled and multi state operation. It remains a successful business.

Theresa Anna Beeton-Clark Ph.D
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Theresa Beeton-Clark brings a variety of social work experience to over 30 years of counseling practice. In her long and varied career, Ms. Beeton-Clark worked with the full spectrum of public and private agencies. Her early experience includes working in child welfare and social service settings providing counseling and family services to individuals and families. She has worked in family services, adoptions, and foster care. Professional work includes providing consultations to courts, hospitals and school systems. The counseling experience includes provision of crisis intervention and critical incident stress debriefings. Ms. Beeton-Clark provided counseling services in community mental health agencies and family service organizations. Counseling experience also includes working with mental health counseling issues and problem solving. Professional training includes specialized training as a family therapist and relationship specialist. In addition to the above stated services Theresa is an enthusiastic and provocative teacher. Her past teaching experience includes developing seminars for community and professional groups on parenting and relationship issues. She previously served on the faculty of Shepherd College and Virginia Commonwealth University teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students of psychology and social work. Currently Theresa engages in providing support and consultations to people developing relationships skills. She serves as CEO of Loudoun Family & Relationship Counseling. One of the premier services of the organization is the workshop for couples ”Getting the Love You Want”. At present, she is chairing the research committee for Imago Relationships International and is directing an IRI research project pertaining to the relationship dynamics of attendees of the couple’s workshop.

We've been married over 25 years and parent four sons together. Professionally utilizing the Imago principles is one of the most exciting aspects of working with families and couples. Personally, the Imago principles help us to make our marriage a vibrant living connection. We love the benefits we see in our own relationship and in the relationship of others! We extensively trained with the Institute for Imago Relationship Therapy and expand our insights on a continuing basis. We look forward to sharing our insights with you!
